Why do I cry when I see your sweet smile?
Is it because you have been gone for awhile?

I guess I feel sad I want to be like a young fan
And do what they do for as long as I can
Be excited and fly every where that you are
No matter where it is or how far

Just to see your smile and watch that twinkle in your eye
Makes everything go away for awhile
Things have been sad for me for some time
That I couldn't even write or do my art
Nothing would start

Ever since you left that day
Things have changed and I have strayed
Not far away - but enough to do other things

The inspiration had somehow gone wayside - afraid it would disappear
That was my biggest fear
Now that you're not here

Like a moth drawn to a flickering flame
You return to your fans once again

To show that you are doing just fine
And now have made up your mind

That show business isn't the same for you
Not like before - you're just through

Oh you write the songs, make the music
Put the beats and synchronize the harmony
But leave the rest for others to do

You miss us and we miss you
Our love and yours is forever true
As I said many times before
Our energy Mike, needs to be restored
